Capestrano Warrior

The Capestrano Warrior is a sculpture made of  monolithic limestone and found in 1934 in a necropolis of the city of Aufinum (Ofena, L'Aquila). Symbol of the pride of the people from Abruzzo, at first sight it represents an austere warrior in military costume. It is an  enigmatic figure, it could be a king or a warrior, a man or a woman, certainly one of the most mysterious archeological artifact that the past has given  to us.
